We Pride Ourselves On Imaginitive Bistro Food

We founded Oscar & Bentleys in 2012. Our mother, Ann is coeliac and for many years we looked on in despair at her plight to find somewhere, anywhere to eat out…. So we opened a restaurant!

We set out to create a haven for foodies, where everyone feels a little bit spoilt, whether they pop in for a quick coffee or a full evening meal. We have built a team around us who all have their own, unique skills joined by their love of food, wine and their fellow human beings to produce the Oscar & Bentley experience

From concept we were pioneering the free-from restaurant industry. Initially gluten free, we soon realized the need for all allergens to be safely catered for.

Oscar & Bentleys has gone on to win numerous awards as the best allergy aware restaurant in the UK.

Quality and integrity are at the heart of everything we do. From the seasonal decorating of the restaurant to the food preparation in our entirely gluten-free kitchens. We can’t wait to share our food with you.

Oscar & Bentleys came from our heart. Named in honour of our childhood golden retrievers, we found a neglected building in the heart of Canterbury and set about transforming it in to the glamorous bistro it is today. We didn't take the path of traditional restaurateurs. Sisters and best friends always. Business partners because of our diverse experiences and skill sets. Sarah has been self-employed for years and is an entrepreneur through and through. Katherine has always worked in creative roles and takes great pride in baking every single christmas pudding and cake we sell. When you walk through the door you will be welcomed by our talented team who are inspired by our original ideas and values.
